I love soulful house music.
Tortured Soul - Fall In Love.
Ok, so, this turned out to be more of a music blog. I decided to make a flickr account for my pictures, which can be found here:

So, check my pictures there. Remember i'm just an amateur doing that =) Be easy on me!

I think i'm almost finished this one. Its a second version, because the first one i did with this sample sounded toooo much like 9th Wonder's beat on his "Invented the Remix" mixtape. So, here's my take on the sample. Still sounds the same, but ah well =P Yes, i named it Childhood because of the Nas remix on that mixtape. I loved that remix when i first heard it.
Im not sure about the Ganxsta whistle atm.
I just found it, and
started messing around with it, so i put it in. Its gonna clash with
the verses though, 'when' someone writes for it =) I do have someone wanting this beat, so we'll see how it goes.
Check the remix cd if you haven't. Little Brother, you can't go wrong. 9th Invented the Remix. Old school 9th Wonder rite here.

Shit, i'm gonna make a remixtape myself! I dunno if it'll be hot though =P
Also, DJ Deckstream used this sample for a track he did with JP popstar Emi Hinouchi, which you can hear here.
Its an online mixtape site of sorts, where you can upload songs and share your playlists. You can only upload 12 songs. Its all streamed, so no you can't download the songs. Also, not all mp3s are supported... alas, half my original playlist i wanted to upload i couldn't use.
Its a pretty cool idea. Similar to imeem, i would say. Except there's links to buy the mp3, and its a lot quicker.
Check out mine. I tried to keep it out of the mainstream, so people can explore new music. It consists of house/electronica and hiphop/soul/instrumentals. The last track is a french track.

Madcon is a norweigan hip hop group. Thats all i know bout them. But they remade this track for their first single off their newest album, which i haven't listened to.
Man, the funky drums are sick. They only make those beats back in the day.
At first when i heard it, i thought the rapper was Black Thought of the Roots. =)
I think i got a little off track with the songs that inspire me to what I do today.
This track here, is like, the perfect track to me. I love the production, and i think it was by Taku of M-Flo fame. M-Flo is a Japanese pop group. Taku, is one of my inspirations, but not in the past 4 years or so. I think he fell off. But anyways.
This track is called After the Silence by K. Thats awesome, your stage name is a Letter and a period. Well, i just recently found out there's a video for it. Its really budget, and the radio/media edit doesn't give the original full song justice. It was cut down a couple mins while the original is like 7+ mins long. It has like a nice string introduction that takes you in, then justs impacts you with the beat almost a minute in. But yeah, the rest of it is intact, i think.
I seriously don't know how to get my strings to sound like that. Its been like 3 years i've been trying, and i can't do it. Like, do they get an actual string orchestra to record their strings? I have a string refill, but i dunno mans. Maybe i'm just doing it wrong. Anyways.
Kidz In The Hall. You don't need a multi million dollar budget to make a decent video. I heard that fan made CRS - US Placers vid had a $0 budget.
Track from the new album. If you haven't heard of them, now's your chance.
Ok, just my opinion.
But yo, that digital voice tube singing crap is so overused... since last year. Its still going on... If you don't know what i'm talking about, listen to T-Pain.
The only reason why artists use it is because they can't sing. I remember the first time i heard it, during Pac and Dre's California Love. I don't know his name, but that was his thing (R.I.P. to him, he died a few years ago).
Now, everybody is using it... Janet Jackson used it, if i heard correctly on her newest album. Well, i didn't think she was the greatest singer anyways, but she's a great entertainer.
Chris Brown used it. But, he can keep in tune already. Why? I think its a stupid trend.
The latest song i heard it on was the Lollipop remix with Kanye West... I dunno, a lot of people say Lil Wayne is soo good. Is he really that lyrical? I was going to give him a try with his new album, but Lollipop is wack. I dunno why they have people playing drums in the video, the song was made on an mpc or some form of digital sound production tool. I have the same patches in Reason.
Bleh. Here's some Lupe. A Tribe Called Quest, anyone?
No, i'm not leaving =P
But this track is fucking dope. One of JP's upcoming Soul/R&B/Pop artists. Jay'ed. He (finally) got signed to a major label and has a new single out, but I can't find the video anywhere yet.
But, this song is butter. Its one of the few songs i can play in my car without anyone saying, "is that your JP music? Change it, i don't understand the language." Seriously, i don't know why people can say that, yet they can listen to reggae/dancehall and groove to it. Nothing against reggae/dancehall music, cuz i love it too. But i find it hard to understand the lyrics.
Or worse, listen to LIL WAYNE! Fucking guy, i don't know what the hell he says sometimes. Seriously, what the hell is Jurp Jurp? Y'all know what song i'm talkin about... I don't know why everybody likes him. I think he's garbage. I remember people saying that Lupe was on Wayne's level... Did i hear that right? I've never listened to Lil Wayne's albums, but i've been told i'm not missing much.
Anyways
Listen to this song! LISTEN! STOP WHAT YOU'RE DOING AND LISTEN NOW! =P
I'ma continue with the songs that inspire me.
J-Live - Epilogue. Just listen to the lyrics.
I have a lot of musical inspirations, but this track was the X factor that made me believe i can do something with music.
Of course, i'm not expecting anyone to love it just as much as i do.
This is a timeless track to me. I can still play it on repeat as i did when i first heard it in 2003. One of the best love songs my ears have ever listened to.
